It's Thursday, of my spring break.
In true Sherri fashion, I declare that it is almost over.
It has been a great Easter and spring break, here are a few details and photos.
Everyone arrived on Good Friday around four.
We colored eggs right away.
The girls did a great job this year, no one was in the dye up to the elbows and most of it did stay on the eggs.
After dyeing eggs we headed to Elias for a world famous fish fry.
It was enjoyed by all.
On Saturday, the girls went on their basket hunt.
I put clues in eggs and they go on a search throughout the house ending with the discovery of their baskets.
This year, I put cosmetology heads in their baskets along with hair supplies. It was the best gift ever for them.
On Saturday afternoon, we went on our fourth annual Kohlhoff Bowling Adventure.
It was a great time.
We went over to Kev and Vikki's for pizza and an egg hunt.
The young people went out, the old people drank and shared memories at kev's bar, the littlest ones watched hours of TV and Nic played video games.
Everyone was happy!
Mallory brought a manfriend, we all approved.
Strikes all around!
On Sunday, we enjoyed a wonderful church service,
Christ is Risen, He is Risen, Indeed!
The girls, John, and i headed out on Monday for a mini spring break get away.
So happy they had the same spring break as i did this year.
We started our adventure at the children's museum in Madison.
Free admission with tickets from the silent auction.
What an awesome, fun place.
The girls loved it.
After that, we stopped in for a visit at our state capitol.
Of course, Tiz wanted to see Scott Walker, but there was no governor siting.
We checked in to the Canterberry Inn in Sauk City and hit the 89 dergee pool.
What a fun time!
Watched TV and ate Subway for the rest of the night.
Memories made all around.
On Tuesday, we checked out of our lovely hotel after some pool and air hockey. Oh, and some hair salon play in our motel room. Those heads are so popular.
We stopped to take a peek and photo on the Wisconsin River in downtown Sauk City.
We are so thankful that John had his job in Sauk City for a few years because if it weren't for that job, we would have never discovered this beautiful spot in Wisconsin.
Then it was on to the Vilas park Zoo in Madison.
It was a gorgeous day for a zoo trip.
We had a picnic lunch and played at three different play areas plus rode the train and carousel.
Oh, and since it was a zoo, we also came face to face with the polar bear, saw cute prairie dogs, and two very frisky, playful donkeys.
It was a great memory making day again.
We ended it with ice cream treats and another carousel ride at Ella's Deli before returning the girls to their home in Oshkosh.
