We began with a trip to the park for a picnic lunch and feeding the ducks. As you can see Tiz has her bike helmet on because she had ridden her bike to the park. The ducks actually ate the bread right from our hands. After going through a loaf of bread we figured the ducks were full and we moved on to play at the park.
We took Tizita to the Aquatic Center. She did some super swimming and then spent about an hour helping a bunch of other kids make "ice cream" out of sand and water in the play area. It was pretty funny to watch the oldest kid about 10 or so running the whole operation. Tiz thought the whole thing was a riot.
That ended our Thursday with Tiz. When mama and papa arrived we had a nice dinner and enjoyed an early bedtime. We were all tired out.
On Friday, we had another picnic lunch at Clark Park and headed over to Union Park for some play time.
On Saturday, we all headed over to Mallory and Gruncle's pool for some water fun. The water was nice and we all enjoyed it.
One of the fun things we did was have Cheddah pull us around the pool on the raft. He was like our half man, half horse. Tiz and I had a great time on our "ride."
Tiz and I had a great bike ride together, too. She would look up at me with this huge smile and say, "Grandma, we are riding together." It was so sweet. Notice how Mimi was able to sit in the bike seat and ride with us.
One of the things that Tiz loves to do is fix hair in her "booty shop." Here she is giving me a new style for the fourth. This suits me just fine since I love having people brush my hair.
We enjoyed the fireworks on Saturday night, July 3. Tiz sat on my lap and took it all in. A few mosquito bites later, we headed in and hit the hay.
On July 4, we watched the parade which has small town America written all over it. I love seeing everyone wearing their red, white, and blue attire. Tiz enjoyed the parade. I enjoyed seeing the parade through her eyes.
We had our annual brat fry for lunch and then took Tiz down to the park to check out the rides. She had fun riding these cars with Jackie Faltersack's little boy, Alex. She also rode the huge slide with her papa and the merry go round with her mama.
And of course, we could not leave without playing the Duck game.
She chose a gun and her mama showed her how to use the new weapon. Like mother, like daughter, I remember when her mama was three and had a successful dentist visit, she chose a set of guns for a present.

Nice illiteration in the title! It WAS a good Independence Day weekend. Thak]nks for all the successful planning.
I really like the picture of you and Tiz riding your bikes. Very good choice for the new picture at the top. It does sound like another great weekend with your family. I got a big kick out of Nathan pulling you and Tiz around on the raft. He is like part horse and part man. Glad you had a great 4th of July.
