My Stint in Day Camp

Last summer due to John's lay off, I had to work in the Day Camp at St. John's. One of the perks of my Preschool job was having the summers off and last summer I had to give that up. For the most part I did enjoy my days at the center, but I was looking forward to a full summer off this year.
When the day care director asked me to sub for her for one week so she could have a much deserved vacation, I could not say "No." Partly because I just never can say "No," but mostly because the director has always been willing to step in and help me out whenever I needed it, so I owed her one.

The Sunday before I had to go in I was dreading my week, but here it is Wednesday and I have been having a great time with the kids. We have toured the Fire Station,

toured the Bank of Lake Mills,

had a birthday lunch at McDonald's,

and the best part of my week came today when Courtney and Tiz joined me to help at the Center. Tiz enjoyed her lunch today along side her good friend Ava.

After lunch it was time to get ready for the Aquatic Center. Tiz was more than happy to help her friend Kya get sunscreened up.

How many people get paid to swim in the pool and watch kids? A good deal for sure.

Here we are hard at work!

When the day was over, we packed up and headed back to school.

Tomorrow we walk to Lincoln Park and then the kids will enjoy Crafting with Courtney in the afternoon. Friday brings Olympic games and another trip to the Aquatic Center.

All in all, a great week.
