Yesterday I took both of my classes to the Library and Mullen's. Here is the PM class all ready to start the trek to the library. The weather was perfect for a walk. We used our walking rope which always helps the kids stay together and keeps those stragglers in line.
I have written about my friend, Lynne on this blog previously and as is expected we had another wonderful tour of the library under her direction. After our tour, Lynne read a few books to the kids and sang a fews songs with them, too. Here they are singing "Twinkle, twinkle Little Star."
Posing outside the library before heading to Mullen's for our ice cream treat.
And finishing up our exciting day with ice cream! Twelve of the kids ordered Blue Moon, by far the most popular flavor. We also had four individuals who ordered vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, and cookie dough. As usual, the ice cream was delicious.
As we were leaving Mullen's after a big dish of ice cream, Conner, the little smiling guy in this photo, said, "Aren't we going to have snack today?" I was like, "Hello, Conner, what do you think we just had!" And you wonder why I love this job. Never a dull moment.
The kids represented St. John's well. I was very proud of their good behavior! Tomorrow we are off to the dairy farm. Gotta love May and all the field trips!
