Two years ago, Tizita was here with John and I for a little over a week while Courtney and Paul traveled to Ethiopia to meet our little Natnael.
John and I had such a great time with Tizita during those days.
She spent the days at school with me.
Such sweet memories.
There were always so many kids at school that just loved having Tiz there.
They always included her and made her feel to welcome.
It was so easy to have Tiz here for that amount of time.
She always slept right between John and I in our king bed and never had a problem with missing her mama and papa, although I am sure she did miss them.
It was spirit week at school while Tiz was there.
Here she is with two of her good friends dressed up for Hawaiian Day.
We took her to Bloomington for the weekend to celebrate Alissa's birthday.
She got to spend time with so many people who love her so much.
Grandpa and Tiz enjoyed some fun times in the motel pool and
Gigi, who also came with us, had more than one toast with Tiz.
Just look at how happy Tiz was.
Tiz was also at school for red, white, and blue day.
Grandpa was one lucky guy because he got to spend his birthday with Tizita.
One day her took the day off and stayed home with her all day.
I got home after a long day at school to find a fort that took up the entire playroom.
Those two were sitting in the fort and all I could think was, "who is going to put all this away!"
I also could not get to my bedroom to change my clothes because that fort was in my way.
Those two made quite a team!
Our time with Tiz was almost over as we took her to the airport to meet her mama and papa.
The time had gone so quickly.
The memories we made together during those days will last a liifetime.
At night, we would always look for the moon (not sure you can even see it in this photo, but it was there in Bloomington) and we would talk about how mama and papa were seeing that very same moon.
Even though they were a half a world away, we still shared many things.
Courtney and Paul shared some wonderful times with their precious son, Natnael.
Little did any of us know that just a few short days later, he would be called to his heavenly home without ever getting to his home here.
Bittersweet times.
