It's Sunday.
The Packers are playing the Bears.
Let' s hope the Packers can pull out the victory that was predicted for them.
This has been a fun weekend.
On Friday, after school, our Eagle Boosters hosted a Back2School pig roast at Riverside Park.
It was well attended, the food was great, and the company was fun.
A great way to start out the weekend.
On Saturday morning, John and I went to watch Mallory as she coached her first soccer game.
Her team is made up of some very talented third grade boys.
She was fun to watch and so were the boys.
Lynne's two twin grandsons, Calvin and Jake play on Mallory's team so it was doubly fun to watch those two athletic little guys move around the field. Both of them scored a goal, too.
The game ended in a 4 - 4 tie, but it was a hard fought battle.
Mallory was a busy coach, she had to check two kids for concussions when they banged heads, stop her goalie from break dancing, and apply an ice pack to an injury.
I look forward to watching a few more of her games.
After the soccer game, we did the weekly grocery shopping, it was uneventful.
We went out for pizza and beer.
We went to Blue Moon in Lake Mills.
John and I both needed a night out and this fit the bill.
We planned to watch a movie when we got home by 9:30 but we both fell asleep during the first half hour.
On Sunday we went to Bible class which we have not done for a few years now.
It was good to be back with so many people studying the Word.
Our church service was awesome today and that brings us to now.
The Packers are not looking so good at this point but it is early.
I hope my first full week in school is a good one.
