Shalom Wildlife Center and Golf Carts

Last Friday, I went to Oshkosh to spend the girls' last chapel service and last day of school picnic with them.
It was a very nice end of school year celebration for them.  Bittersweet, indeed, since the girls will not be at Trinity but will be at Garden Homes in Milwaukee next year.  Saying good bye to the familiar and good friends is never easy, but new adventures await the whole family.
John and I went up to Green Bay for Melanie's wedding celebration on Friday night.  It was a fun wedding party with lots of good free food and beer.

On Saturday, we wanted to take the girls to the New Zoo in Green Bay but Soliana wanted to go back to the Shalom Wildlife Center.  We had been there last summer and she wanted to drive the golf cart again, so that is what we did.  It was John's first visit and Courtney came along with us, too.   The girls got lots of golf cart driving in that day and saw some fun animals along the way.

It was a fun way to start our summer with the girls.
On Sunday we got some more plants from Ebert's and did some yard work.
I had inservices on both Monday and Tuesday and now that those are done, I can really feel like I am on summer vacation.
On Wednesday, mom and I went down to Oshkosh with John.  We are helping Courtney get things ready for their move to Milwaukee.  She had a craft show in Milwaukee so she needed us to be with the girls for the day as well as do some packing.
John came and got us at 3:45, we had to get the girls to their new gym in Oak Creek by 6:00, at least that was the plan A, but we switched it up to Plan B. We met Courtney and Paul at their new apartment, so john and mom were able to get inside and see it.  The girls also saw their new home for the first time.  Tiz was less than impressed but I think she will warm up to it and Soli was happy with it.  Courtney and Paul took the girls to cheer which cut an hour off of our travel time to we celebrated with Fuddruckers on the way home.
It was a good day!
Thursday night I watched Harmony for Louisa and Tim so they could go to watch the big kids play baseball.
John and I took her to the park, she ran like a wild child,.  Then we played here until her bedtime.  She laid down and went right to sleep.
Such a sweetheart!
I look forward to having her more often during the summer to help them out.
This weekend we head down to Alissa's with mom in tow!  I will fill you in on that later.
Happy Summer!
