What a way to end the summer!

Yesterday, August 25 was about the best day that we have had in a long time for a couple of reasons. First of all, we took Tizita to Little America with the Day Camp kids. John was able to join us because he was (notice the past tense, wait for it) still unemployed. We all had a great time. Here are Markus and Tizita driving their boat. All the rides went for such a long time that the kids actually got bored waiting for the ride to end!

After the boats, Markus and Tizita drove some cars. Tiz chose this sports car, what a perfect fit!

Here is the cute little ferris wheel. Tizita said she and Markus pretended they were in jail when they were riding it. So far, so good, Tizita was having a fun time until she tried the little red roller coaster.

Even though Summer held her hand throughout the ride Tiz did not enjoy it and after that she was a bit gun shy when if came to any other rides. She spent some time in the jump house which she did like and then rode the Merry go round a few times. After that it was time to head back home.

Tizita wanted to drive her Escalade when we got home and she was kind enough to let me come along for the ride. What fun!

Then the best part of the day came when John got a call from Kapitan in Sauk City. John had been working with them on a job for six weeks and it finally paid off! He was offered the job as a CAD technican, so no Walmart for him! Dodged a bullet on that one! Anyway what a perfect ending to the summer-a full day of fun with Tiz and a job for John!

I will miss all the things that John had done for me while unemployed but I will just have to put on my big girl panties and get back to doing some of the work around here.
