Snowed in on April 15!

Yes, you read that correctly.
We were, in fact, snowed in yesterday.
The girls came home with John on Friday night.
We had Little Ceasar's and watched a movie.
On Saturday Kaliyah and Harmony came over for the morning.  We all had a great time, playing and making slime, it always turns to slime.\
On Saturday afternoon we played games. I bought a new one that includes a flushing toilet that sprays one in the face.  We all enjoyed that one!  After gaming, we watched another movie and then got ready to meet Courtney and Paul at Sprecher..
Courtney had a craft show Saturday in Madison so they were coming out for the night.
Lucky they did because Oshkosh had gotten dumped on with snow and ice.
Our snow and ice started while we were in Sprecher and continued through most of Sunday.
We watched another movie on Saturday night and played a few more games.
We planned to go to church on Sunday, but with all the snow we just stayed in.
We listened to Pastor Jeske on TV, he had a great message and that was our church.
We ventured outside in the afternoon.
We all pitched in to help with shoveling, it was a big job for sure.
The van Aukens decided to stay over for one more night since schools and UWO were all cancelled for monday.
Tiz made delicious pancakes for everyone on Sunday evening.
Both girls bakes a crazy cake for dessert.
We all slept well that night.
Today, Monday, John and I were off to school and the Van Aukens left shortly thereafter.
It was another fun weekend.

I Can Only Imagine

Another weekend has come and gone.
On Friday, John and I went to Sprecher's for a few beers and some dinner.
Good food, good beers, and good conversation.
On Saturday we did some errands, organized the basement a bit and then took mom to the movies.  We saw "I can only Imagine."  It was an awesome movie and I know mom enjoyed it.
The only sad part was that an older lady tripped and fell into the closed door at the back of the theater.  We heard the thump but was not sure what it was until we were leaving and we saw her with a bloodied nose sitting on the floor waiting for the EMS.
I felt so bad for her, but hopefully she was fixed up easily.  You just don't imagine that to happen when you go to the movies.
After the movie, we took  mom to El Mariachi for an early dinner.
It was good as usual.
Came home watched a few movies and called it a night.
Church on Sunday.  Louisa and the kids sat by us, Tim had to work,  so I was able to hold Harmony a lot.   She fell asleep on me.  we sang the song about, "I am content" and I couldn;t help but think how content it is to be holding a sleeping baby.
I spent the rest of the day, watching Lifetime movies.  Perfect Sunday.
Spring has not arrived yet.  We had more snow.
That is all for now.
Until next time...

Easter 2018

We had a wonderful Easter weekend.
The girls came home with John on Thursday.
We had to do our grocery shopping so they came with us to Aldi and Walmart.  They were good little shoppers and we had dinner at Culver's.
On Friday we did so many fun things.
We started by making dough for sugar cookies, then we dyed our eggs, frosted our cookies, picked up pine cones for grandpa, and went out to dinner after Courtney, Paul. Lissa, and Nathan arrived later on Friday.

Grandpa paid 25 cents per pine cone so they both made quite a bit of money!
I almost forgot, the girls also took their first spin of the spring in the Escalade.

I hope they never get too big for riding together in the Escalade!

We had planned to go to Elias on Friday for fish, but there were so many people there that we couldn't even get a place to sit in the bar area so we all decided to go to Bismark's instead.  Perfect choice.  We enjoyed great bar food and cheap pitchers.  John and I took the girls home while the other kids went out for a few beers.
It was a good night all around.

On Saturday, the girls went on their first Easter hunt to find their baskets.
The wigs were a big hit!
We all (except for marge) went to an Admirals game that night.  We ate at Rock Bottom before the game.
It was a fun night.  The girls loved their first hockey game especially the fights!
we had great second row seats.  John had his own seat away from the rest of us!

We also visited the Bronze Fonz on our way to the hockey game.
As you can tell by our outerware, it was unseasonably cold this whole weekend!

On Sunday, we all went to church, my kids sang with the rest of the school, it was wonderful.
After church it was more wigs, ham dinner, and then Alissa and Nathan left followed by Courtney and Paul.
The girls did another egg hunt and made a fair amount of money.  they stayed overnight with us and we did the zoo the next day.

It was a chilly dat at the zoo but that kept the crowds away so we enjoyed an almost empty zoo!
We had a great day.
we got to see our red panda that we sponsor.  he was sleeping but we saw him!
The girls had a great time on the playground's merry go round.
we took them back home after pizza at Pizza Ranch.

It was a great Easter!
