Officially waiting for another Grandchild!

Just got the official word from Courtney-the paper chase is over and everything has been sent in for our second grandchild from Ethiopia! The wait is significantly longer this time around, but I think it will be easier because we already have Tizita here with us to help us pass the time. Estimated time of referral is sometime at the end of 2010 with travel in March of 2011.

I read on my daily calendar yesterday, "Your life is God's novel, let him write it." This is a time for us to step back and just let God write this chapter in his own way and his own time.

Another school year comes to a close

I have mixed feelings today as I ended another school year with a wonderful Preschool program last night. I think I have ended some 25+ Preschool years with programs over the years and as usual I don't know exactly how to be feeling about another end. Of course I am happy for the break to enjoy some down time and rejuvenate, but there is also the sadness of sending another group of kids out into the world. There are a number of the kids that I will see daily because they stay in our school, but there are also an equal number that I will not see again because they move on to different schools and even different towns. My prayer for all of them is that wherever they end up, they will have successful school years and that somehow that will be due in a small way to their first school experience in my classroom. I also pray that I will see all of them in heaven someday.

After the program I always feel like somewhat of a star. I am asked to be in many pictures, I am presented with gifts and flowers, and I get more hugs than any one person deserves in such a short time. These are bittersweet moments. I know most of these children will not remember much about their three year old preschool years unless it is through the memories their parents give them through stories and the picture books that I give each one of them. Most will not remember who I was and for the most part I will probably forget most of their names and faces over the years as new students take up my limited brain space, but for last night I was their star teacher and they were my heroes! I do know the parents will remember me and appreciate the things I did for their child during this school year. I know that from the kind notes they gave me and all the wonderful comments from last night.
As the old saying goes (I am paraphrasing, can't remember it exactly) One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of house I lived in, what kind of car I drove, or how much money I had, but what will matter is that I was important in the life of a child. That is really what it is all about for me and that is why I love my job so much!

My plans for this summer, you ask? Well, lots of Tizita time, a fun trip to St. George Island, Florida, and many bike trips with John. Plus lots of scrapbooking, organizing, blogging, gardening, walking, ...
Okay, I am now feeling happy again, bring on the summer break!

First bike adventure of the season

This past weekend John and I headed up to Two Rivers/Manitowoc to ride on one of our favorite trails. We left Watertown in the rain, hoping it would eventually stop which it did. We took a nice scenic route up to Two Rivers. When we arrived we had a nice lunch at Cousins and headed out on the Rawley Point trail which meanders through Point Beach State Park. It is such a beautiful trail going through the state forest. It is very curvy so no one can go too fast which is nice because you can take in all the beautiful scenery. It is a five mile ride to the concession area at the end of the trail. We walked around on the Lake shore. It was breezy and cool but no rain, yet! We rode a few more miles to the lighthouse and that is when I felt the first drop.

After that first drop of rain it never let up until hours later, but it was just a drizzle so it wasn't so bad. Luckily I had thrown Alissa's old swimming windbreaker in my backpack so I put that on and stayed nice and dry.
We spent the night in the Lighthouse Inn which is right on the Lake and the bike trail. It is a very pretty place. We enjoyed drinks and a fine dinner in the restaurant there.
The next day we rode the Mariner trail which goes five miles to Manitowoc. It is a nice paved trail along the lake. We hiked out to another lighthouse in Manitowoc and enjoyed a nice lunch at an ice cream candy store in downtown Manitowoc.

The five miles back to Two Rivers was a hard pedal since there was a strong wind and the trail was slightly uphill, but we made it. We then did a little more biking into and around Two Rivers before heading out for home. We took another scenic route home.
It was a very good start to our biking season and we hope to have many more fun rides this summer.

Happy 83 Birthday, Dad!

My dad would have been 83 years old today, but he is celebrating this birthday up in heaven
with all those family and friends who have gone before us just as he has celebrated the last 21! When he died back in 1992 I didn't realize just how young he was. Now that I am fastly approaching the big 60 (Okay, not that fast, but I am 58) I now see that he really was not all that old! Age is so relevant!
Anyway God had the perfect plan for him and that is so apparent to us so we never questioned God's wisdom in calling him home when he did. Have we wished him back? Sure, countless times but would we really want him to leave the splendor of his heavenly home to return to our sinfilled world, NO WAY! We will see him soon enough as it is.
As a tribute to my dad I wanted to recall a few things that made him special to me and to all the others who knew him:

1. My dad was very social-loved people, loved parties. I think he was happiest when the house was filled with friends and family just having fun together.

2. My dad was a hard worker. He worked at the same factory all his life and for all those years I just figured you could never call him there or go inside the factory. When he was at work, he was unreachable. That is how it was in those days.

3. My dad "owned" all rights to the one car we had and the one TV we had-no remote either. We went where he took us and we watched what he wanted to watch. It was a simpler time where the Fathers were in control of the household.

4. My dad was a faithful man. He went to church, served on church boards, and in his own quiet say taught us to trust in God, too. The night before he died I saw him with his hands folded obviously carrying on a deep conversation with his heavenly Father. We didn't know that would be his last night on earth, but I think he knew it! (I take so much comfort in that, too)

5. My dad loved sports of all kinds. He played softball for years and I was one of the kids that grew up under the bleachers at numerous baseball fields. I was also one of those kids who ended up at a local tavern for a celebration after the games. Celebrations were big no matter what the outcome of the game.

6. My dad set the standards high for my brother and I. He expected good grades, good behavior, and good attitude from us. I learned from him how to expect that in my daughters, too.

7. My dad loved watching Hogan's Heroes every night when he got home from work. He also enjoyed a drink at that time. Now that I look back, I am thinking that was his way to unwind from the stress of the factory.

8. My dad loved his country and all celebrations that had to do with it. I don't know his political views since he did not talk Politics, but I know he voted and knew what a privilege that was.

9. My dad loved his granddaughters. He enjoyed spending time with them. I know he played a mean game of Monopoly on numerous occasions with them. He never got to meet Mallory or Tizita, but he knows about them.

10. My dad didn't have much money but he would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it, that is the kind of man he was.

So, today, I will go visit him at the cemetery even though he is long gone from there, but I will still stop for a minute and say "Hello" and I will have a toast to him later tonight.

Even though the girls were young when he died and like I said he never met Mallory or Tizita, we have kept his memory alive. He is with us at every holiday and family celebration in the happy thoughts and memories that we share with one another. The grandkids all know him just as if he were still here with us and for that I am thankful because he was a man worth getting to know.

So Happy Birthday Dad and see you soon!

One year ago today! (date should be May 21, 2009, I wrote this last night)

One year ago today we got a call from Courtney and Paul telling us that they had accepted a referral for a little 17 month old girl from Ethiopia and so began our journey to becoming grandparents. We knew it would be an exciting adventure but never in our wildest dreams did we imagine how perfect our little Tizita Desta would be!
After hanging up the phone John and I went to our e-mail to check out her picture!
She was a beauty to behold...

We must have stared at that picture for hours just trying to take in her beauty and imagine what she was going to be like and what she was going to bring to our lives. Tizita has surpassed our wildest dreams.
When we look at that very first picture now, it is hard to even see our happy, spunky, rascally little girl in there.

Here is a picture of the little outfit she wore in her good bye ceremony at the care center before leaving Ethiopia to travel home with her mama and papa.
This is more of the Tizita we know now...

Here is a picture of me with Tizita on the first day we met her. At that point she wasn't too keen about touching us or even sitting too close to us, but oh, how that has changed! Now she runs us ragged and gives us countless hugs and kisses. She knows her Grandma and Grandpa!

It is just amazing how one little girl can change so much in our lives.
It is also amazing to me to see how Americanized she has become in such a short time.
She even had her first ear infection which truly makes her an American child.
She loves shopping at Hobby Lobby.
Loves swimming.
Reading,
Playing,
Laughing,
and on and on and on...

Already Tizita has acquired
her Aunt Alissa's sense of humor,
her grandpa's loud laugh,
her Gigi's loving nature,
her Grandma's love of anything chocolate,
her Uncle Chedda's black curly hair, (Okay I know that is stretching it, but they do have the same kind of curls!)
her Cousin Mallory's sense of fashion,
her Grunkle's silliness,
her mama's love of water and swimming,
and
her papa's love of all things outdoors.
Yes, she is a little bit of all of us even though there is not an ounce of our blood running through her veins and that is truly amazing!

So, today, Tizita Desta we celebrate the day we learned your name, your age, and your sex and the first day we laid eyes on your beautiful face!
We love you!

And we take a moment to thank God for picking you out to become a part of our family!
What a blessing,
God is good.

Grab a ring on our rope and walk!

A few years ago I found a walking rope with rings in an Oriental Trading Magazine. Being it was from Oriental Trading the price was reasonable, but I knew the quality would suffer and it probably would not hold up under the abuse of my lively Preschoolers. I showed the picture to my aid and she made one for me. She used heavy duty ribbon and diving rings which she sewed on with great reinforcement to withhold any of the abuse. We have used the walking rope for all of our walks and it is the next best thing to white bread. (I think there is some quote to that effect)
Over the years I have taken thousands of walks with kids and I wish I had this rope way back when. It eliminates all the dawdlers who always ended up a block behind the rest of us. It is a much safer way to cross streets since we are all together in a nice orderly line.
We had a wonderful time on our park field trip these past two days. We used our rope to walk the mile to the park and made it in 30 minutes, no small feat for 16 Preschoolers. The weather could not have been better and we brought just as many kids back to school as we left with-always a good thing and there were no mishaps!
One more trip tomorrow and then my field trips are over for this school year!

Don't wake up the Birdies! May 16, 2009

Check out John's blog for some more insight into our Saturday. And Don't wake up the Birdies! Tizu loves that new song that I taught her In fact, she called early this AM wanting me to sing it to her!

Being Grandparents can be exhausting at times!

Yesterday John and I went up to Oshkosh to spend the day hanging out with Tizita so that Courtney and Paul could get some work done on their garden. The weather could not have been much worse. Because of the blustery winds we couldn't do anything outside with Tizita. There was no rain so Courtney and Paul could get the gardening work done which was good. Tizita was diagnosed with not only croup but an ear infection so she was on meds which were making her a bit on the hyper side. So when you put together a rather hyped up medicated two year old and a day that had to be spent inside you get two very tired grandparents. I really thought that because I can handle sixteen three year olds day in and day out that I could handle a two year old granddaughter without complete exhaustion!
We started the day out by taking Tizita to Hobby Lobby where she proceeded to fill the cart with lots of things while saying, "I need it." She couldn't decide if she wanted to ride sitting in the cart, on the cart, or standing up in the cart. We just had to laugh at her silliness. We did end up with a few fun projects and gummy worms which were half gone by the time we got to the check out.
After our shopping trip at Hobby Lobby we headed over to Culver's for lunch. Tizu kept the patrons all entertained with the show she put on. The girls in the booth behind us could not get enough of her cuteness. She didn't want a booster or a high chair but chose rather to stand on the seat. She is like her mama and likes to drink her milk right out of the carton without a straw.
It is hard for me to explain right now, but it was like she had seven foot arms and moved with lightning speed as she touched and moved everything on the table. John and I would just look at one another and laugh. She did eat half her grilled cheese sandwich and some fries along with a bit of fruit. A few weeks ago while visiting here in Watertown, her mama, Alissa, and Mallory taught her to point and say "sicko" to each other. This brought lots of laughs from all of us. Well, you know these things have a way of turning on you, right. As we were sitting in Culver's, I said to Tizu, "You know, you are the sicko now!" (I was referring to her being sick with croup and an ear infection.) She proceeded to point at different people in Culver's and say "Sicko!" rather loudly. After our lunch we went to the dollar store where she found many more things she needed to take home with her. We headed home from there and she fell asleep in the car. I tried my best to get her up to bed without her waking up, but I failed. Now everyone knows how difficult it is to get a child back to sleep after a ten minute nap in the car! I pulled every trick out of my bag, but nothing worked so eventually we just got up.

After the ten minute nap, we decided to paint. I also put her in big girl panties which stayed dry for about an hour or so. We had fun painting though and she created some masterpieces. Bathtime was required after the painting. She did want to wear her flippers!

After bathtime we had a great time playing in her playroom. As usual, she is the activity director and tells us exactly how and what to play. She sat for a good 45 minutes and listened to me read books to her which was very nice. I told her two Bible stories which she can now retell. We had pizza for supper. Courtney and Paul had a few finishing touches to complete on their project so we ended our evening playing "Going to Florida" which involved me sitting in Tizu's closet while she opened and closed the door bringing in and taking out things we were taking to or bringing home from Florida. She would give these things to John who was sitting outside the closet. It kept her occupied for a good hour. What a hoot she is! She just looks at us with those big brown eyes and we melt! The best part is we will be going to Florida together in mid June!

Courtney and Paul were able to get much work done on their garden and at the end of the day, I was asking if we couldn't just take Tizu home with us for the night and return her on Sunday so they could continue their work. Courtney said they would have taken us up on the offer if Tizu were not a sicko, but she has a hard time with her croup during the night, so ...
At any rate we had a great day even if it was a bit exhausting! We had better get ourselves into shape before May 30 when we get to have her for the very first overnight by ourselves! We cannot wait!

A Shout out to my favorite Librarian

Not only is Lynne my favorite librarian, she is also my very good friend and I just want to take a moment to sing her praises and say "Thank you" to her on my blog.
Lynne and I met about 26 or so years ago. I think we both knew of one another but did not ever have a chance to speak. I still remember the day I was desperately looking for someone to teach Preschool with me at Mary Linsmeier. My co teacher was moving on to a new teaching position in the public school and I was nervous about who was going to end up in my classroom team teaching with me. I ran into a mutual friend and asked if she would be interested in teaching with me, she was not, but she gave me Lynne's name as a possible prospect. That was the beginning of a wonderful relationship. What started as two young moms teaching Preschool together grew into a well seasoned friendship that is very special to me.
Some of my favorite memories include:

1. Our two youngest, Daniel and Alissa disrupting our classroom as only a teacher's child can. The two of them would often head out to our cars while Lynne and I were still cleaning up after class. They would turn the radio way up and play with other buttons in the car so that when we got in and started our cars we never knew quite what to expect. Sometimes they just liked to crawl up on the hood and play with the garage door opener.

2. Those same two darling children would have playdates together. Daniel had a way of telling me stories that I would believe hook, line, and sinker. The more I believed his tales, the more he told them.

3. The Sunday that our husbands took the entire afternoon to put our new classroom tables and chairs together. My husband is less than handy with that kind of thing and when he walked in with his little manual screwdriver I am sure Lynne's much handier husband with his electric screwdriver had a feeling he would be doing most of the work!

4. In the very beginning of Mary Linsmeier it was just Lynne and I and we would have some very fun programs for our parents. We put on numereous plays. One I particularity enjoyed was when Lynne wore our big parachute and played the part of the Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly. The kids played the animals and crawled under the chute while I told the story! Another time I was the star of the show while she read the story. We all wore crepe paper tails and had to parade around holding on to each other's tail. We were brave in those days putting on all these fun shows.

5. Lynne stood by me as Mary Linsmeier went big and became a full time day care center. She was my assistant director for many years and I honestly do not know how I would have survived without her help and encouragement.

6. Lynne and I came in on Tuesday evenings to clean the center. We were trying to save money on janitors. We would scrub all the floors and clean the bathrooms. It was a job I dreaded, but having Lynne by my side helped make it okay.

7. We were such a good team because we always had our favorite kids and luckily for the kids, the ones that I didn't particularly care for were Lynne's favorites and vice versa so no one really suffered any. ( Just so you know, teachers do always have a few favorites and a few not so favorites, it is just natural)

8. It was very trying to make a big move to our new big center in the old High School. Suddenly overnight we got very, very big and again Lynne stood by me and held me up when things were really getting me down.

9. We did the gradeschool program together and just about went crazy but again we were there for one another. Sometimes the kids ran away on us, too. It was not pretty.

10. We took so many field trips together. We went places that I am sure no one else would even consider like our trip to the Waste Water Treatment Plant, who goes there? But we always had fun because we were both there together.

11. Whenever I went on a vacation big things would happen at the center like a kid falling through a window or the licensing agent visiting. But in true Lynne fashion, she handled things very well.

12. I was very sad when Lynne decided to leave teaching and become a librarian. We were a fine oiled machine and I wasn't sure I could operate without her beside me. We finished one another's sentences and we just knew what the other one needed while teaching lessons. It was almost magical. The only bright spot was that Lynne's daughter, Melissa came and taught with me and she was just like her mom so the machine could still operate well.

13. Somewhere over the years of teaching together Lynne and I became close friends. We
gave each other advice and encouragement during our children's high school years, we helped each other during the hard times when we sent our kids away to college and missed them, we attended each other's children's weddings, and now we are sharing good times with our grandchildren. Since Lynne has three grandchildren and they live in Watertown she unselfishly shares them with me when I am missing my little Tizita.

14. Lynne and I both love to walk and those are some of our best shared times now. I am looking forward to the nice weather so we can get out and walk and chat together.

Now getting to Librarian Lynne

Today I took my 19 three and four year olds to the library so that Lynne could read to them. I just get to sit back and enjoy Lynne's wonderful way with reading to young children. My Preschoolers sit absolutely spell bound while she reads to them and for a few minutes I let my mind go back to a Mary Linsmeier classroom in the Moravian church where two young moms did their best to teach a roomful of Preschoolers...
We have come a long way since then and I look forward to our friendship continuing for a long, long time.

Thanks so much Lynne, for your unselfish nature, your kind considerate manner, and your friendship. I appreciate it much more than you will ever know.

A weed is in the eyes of the beholder

Each spring John sprays our lawn to get rid of those nasty, pesty dandelions. When we take our walks we can always spot the homeowners who, like us, have treated their lawns because there is not a yellow puff to be spotted anywhere.
But in the eyes of a Preschooler those yellow plants are anything but annoyances in fact, they are downright beautiful. Yesterday my classes went for a walk to a lawn that has not been treated and we took our time to study these so called weeds. We looked at the hollow stems, checked out the huge roots, talked about using the leaves for a salad, and blew the white seeds all over the place while making our private wishes. Finally we all picked three or four flowers to bring back to our classroom for a painting project. Except for dandelions it is not really acceptable to pick a lovely bouquet of flowers from someone's yard. No one ever minds if you pick their dandelions though!
We used the yellow flowers to print with colorful paint and we created some very unique beautiful artwork. Who knew that the pesty weed we call a dandelion could provide such fun for a four year old.
And what mom out there doesn't fondly recall the many bouquets of dandelions received on those long ago summer days? I always put them into a pretty vase while the girls proudly looked on. I hope that isn't something else our children lose in this day and age because of the spraying. Perhaps dandelions will be too hard for them to find!
Afterthought: I think my girls used to say something to the effect of, " A mama had a baby and its head popped off," while they popped the yellow flower off the dandelion. HA! In this day and age a child would get into big trouble for saying such a thing...

Check out John's blog

As usual, John has related the Mother's Day story much better than I did in the following entry. Be sure you check mine out but then go over to John's blog (listed on the side) and have a laugh at his retelling of the adventures in the big city.

A Mother's Day celebration with Alissa and Nathan

We started out our afternoon at High Hat on Brady St. for a beer.
We had a nice dinner at Elsa's after some window shopping on Brady St. I want to thank Alissa for coming up with such fun plans for my mother's day. She is a good planner and I appreciate that I don't have to think about things, just follow along for the fun. It was also nice that we could spend the night at the Hunter B and B and not have to make the trip back to Watertown. I also need to thank Nathan for being a good sport and letting us hang out with them. He and John talk a lot of shop and smoke cigars together.
Alissa and I with our fancy Raspberry Collins drinks. Look how we dressed similarly without any consultation.
John and me enjoying the nightlife in the big city.
We did have a funny (well, maybe not funny...) experience on our taxi ride back to Alissa and Nathan's after our night out. The men hailed a taxi and Nathan jumped in the front while the three of us sat in the back. Nathan clearly told the taxi driver to take us to S. Hawley but it was apparent that he had not understood when we were heading toward S. Howell on the way to the airport which is in the total wrong direction. Finally after some directions from Nathan and Alissa with John piping in too, we headed off in the right direction and made it to their apartment $25.00 later! It was quite the experience. Alissa says it has never happened to them before and they take the taxi home quite frequently.
Alissa and Nathan enjoying our martinis at Kennadee's
Here I am with one of my favorite son in laws at Kennadee's.
These are the new shoes I bought myself with some Mother's Day money. They are just so cute and stylish, something I usually do not splurge on for myself. I wore them on our night out with Alissa and Nathan!
So, I hope that all the moms out there had a wonderful day and were able to spend time with their children.

Two down,, four to go!

It is the time of the year for field trips and between my two classes of Preschoolers, I take six of them during this last month of school. Yesterday I took my afternoon class to the library where my good friend, Lynne gives them a tour of the children's room, gives them rules about taking care of books, and reads to them. My class which tends to be very talkative was on their best behavior and really made me proud. After our library visit we headed over to Mullen's Dairy Bar which is a wonderful ice cream place. They make their own ice cream and have lots of yummy flavors. Most of the kids chose cookie dough, blue moon, or cotton candy. I chose turtle! We took a nice leisurely walk on the way back to school stopping to look at the dam which most of them still call a waterfall. The weather could not have been better for our walk. So, one down, five to go! So far we are on a roll.

Today I took all 35 Preschoolers, both AM and PM to Gymtastics which is a wonderful place for kids to run, jump, play, use balance beams, trampolines, jump houses, etc. I call this the best field trip place ever. I have gone on hundreds of field trips over the last 25 years and this is one of my favorite. They have teachers who take over with the kids as soon as we arrive and move them from station to station. My job is to simply go around, take pictures, and converse with parents. The smiles on the kids faces speak for themselves.

Next week my AM class goes to the library and all classes take a few trips to the park. I love the end of the school year! This it the foam pit that the kids get to jump into. I really want to try to jump in here sometime, but I am afraid I might not be able to get out! They do have a ladder just for such emergencies!

The kids jump off of the tall blue tower and the balance beam to get into the foam pit. It is amazing that three year olds will jump off of such high places. They have no fear, I guess.

There are many bars and rings where the kids can hang and do monkey tricks!
I hope to be able to take Tizita to Gymtastics when she is visiting sometime because I think she would really enjoy doing all the fun things!
Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Sometimes all you need is a hand to hold

Grandpas have lots of time to walk slowly, talk about the sunny skies, and help a little girl balance on a beam! Does it get any better than this for either of them?
No matter how bad the economy gets or how the swine flu epidemic might affect us, this is all that really matters and it is what we have been waiting for!

A wonderful early Mother's Day celebration

We celebrated Mother's Day a week early this year because Courtney, Paul, and Tizita will be heading to Minneapolis to spend the actual day with his mom. The weather was beautiful and we had a most wonderful time spending time together. Courtney and Tizu came on Thursday night already so we got to have a special early visit with them. Tizu came to my Preschool on Friday while Courtney served as my aid. My regular aid had an appointment and had taken the day off, so it was a fun day with mother, daughter, and granddaughter in the classroom together. After school we went to lunch with my mom at a nice restaurant. It was our little four generation luncheon. After nap we headed out to Ebert's green house to look at all the beautiful flowers. Tizu really enjoyed herself and we all purchased some pretty blooms. We enjoyed tacos for dinner after Alissa, Nathan, and Paul arrived and ended our evening with a bit of wii.
Here is Tizita with some of our flowers. She was riding on a wagon which clearly stated, "Do not let you children ride on the wagon!" But it was just so darn cute!

Tizita with one of many flowers she picked out for us to take home with us.

On Saturday we walked over to my aunt and uncle's house so they could meet Tizu for the first time. It was a most enjoyable visit. On Saturday night the girls, Alissa, Courtney, Mal, my mom, and I went out for a few beers and some mighty fine conversation and good laughs.
Almost forgot, John cooked on Saturday night and we enjoyed his burgers and brats.

On Sunday, John and I took Tizu to the park and then we just lazed around, ate lunch outside, and enjoyed the company again until everyone took off for home. It was a fine Mother's Day!
I hope Courtney enjoyed her first Mother's Day here with all of us. I hope it was a very special day for her!

Next weekend John and I are going to Milwaukee to go out with Nathan and Alissa. We will be having dinner, drinks, and spending the night at the Hunter bed and breakfast. This is their mother's day gift to me so I am looking forward to that, too!

I have the best daughters, son-in-laws, and granddaughter ever! The best part is that we don't need a special day like Mother's Day to get together and share good times!

Tizita comes to Grandma's Preschool

Singing praises in our Jesus circle. Notice how she sits so nicely for her first time ever! She does have her shoes off however, not sure why that is.
Playing in the beans with Casey and Maggie.
After playing in the beans you have to sweep it up. Here Tizu and Elijah are cooperatively sweeping up beans!
Here is our littel amiga wearing the classroom sombrero!

Here I am helping Tizu with her art project. It was a picture of Jesus ascending into heaven. She had to put the fluffy clouds on the picture. As you can see she listens well to her teacher and is a cooperative student! Way to go, Tizu!
