Chuck E Cheese and other weekend fun

We had a wonderful weekend with sweet Tizita. After Mamaw's memorial service, Tizita came back to Watertown with us. We ordered pizza and cinnamon sticks, enjoyed them while we watched movies together. Just what the doctor ordered after the events of the afternoon. Tizita wanted her hair free so we took out the little puff and this is what greeted us in the morning. Oops, not so sure this Grandma was going to be able to handle styling this hair. As Alissa asked, "did you just put it into two big fat braids like you did with mine?" My styling skills are quite limited. We were taking off for our first Tizita/Grandparents trip to Chuck E Cheese, so I needed to take control of that hair. No problem, we put it into two puffs up top and let the back hang free. I had a picture inserted here, but I deleted it by mistake and it is too hard to try and repost it, but you will see the cute style in later pictures.

Chuck E Cheese was more chaotic than I recall it. Seems like everything is so packed into this one and we were all on top of one another. It took John about five minutes to remember why he didn't enjoy the whole Chuck E Cheese experience, but he put up a good front.

Tiz is popping bubbles at this game. The whole experience was a bit overwhelming for her, too. She isn't used to so much business all happening at once, but I think she enjoyed herself for the most part.

Here you can see the cute hairstyle designed by this grandma. Tiz did enjoy crawling around in the big gerbil tubes although she would have preferred it if John or I could have crawled in there with her, but that was not going to happen.

This simulated a roller coaster ride at Cedar Point (that is for you, Patti) She got a big kick out of putting her arms up in the air as she "rode" the coaster.

Her favorite place was the photo booth where for one token you could take a picture of yourself and she did that over and over again.

Tiz and I are having a competitive race with some squirt guns seeing which of us can make the bear get up to the bell first. I did not even have to let her win at this one. I, however, did still dominate at Skee Ball. John announced that he had to get out of there or he would have a break down, so we left Chuck E Cheese with our little trinkets that cost us an arm, leg, and our firstborn male. Some things never change. We walked over to the park and just enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather. Here Tizita and Grandpa were having some kind of business with a big branch.
On Sunday after church, we took a hike along the Wiowash bike trail, another beautiful day to enjoy the fall weather.

We said our good byes to Tizita (Courtney and Paul, too) and headed home to watch the Packers beat the Broncos.

It was, indeed, a fun, memorable weekend. We covered it all, from the craziness of Chuck E Cheese to the peacefulness of a secluded trail by the river.

Note to Nathnael: Grandpa and I cannot wait to take you along with us on our adventures. I wonder if you will enjoy Chuck E Cheese? We will give it another try when you are ready. Stay safe, healthy, and happy until your mama, papa, and sister get there for you. We love you and cannot wait to meet you.
