Imaginaton Station

After our great time at the Domes and with Alissa on Saturday, we had two plans for Sunday. Plan number one was to go to Imagination Station and the bike trail in Oconomowoc if the weather permitted. Plan number two was to go see the movie Rio if the weather was not good.
Well, it was sunny so we opted for plan number one. Besides Tiz loves to be outside so we knew she would have a great time with that option. There was one slight problem, it was so windy and the wind was very cold. Luckily I grabbed some gloves which we really needed. We started out on the bike trail and Tiz did a fine job despite the cold wind. She thought it was so funny to ride really fast and get very far ahead of us so we had to run to catch up. Running wasn't so bad because it helped to warm us up. After the bike ride, we played at the park. Due to the temperatures we had the place almost to ourselves which was very nice. I do not like covered tunnel slides especially when they turn, but I conquered my fears and slid down a few times with Tiz. It was actually fun and I didn't get caught which is what I was most concerned about!

Here John and Tiz are pretending to be penguins on the boat. They were acting out the penguin movie that we had seen the night before. I was the one driving the boat and taking them to the zoo until they escaped a few times. The wooden part they are standing on actually moves back and forth as you move side to side. It is like a moving boat. Just one of the really cool parts of Imagination Station.

The last two times we have been to this park, Tiz has wanted nothing to do with this awesome climbing structure which resembles a large spider web, but this time after a bit of convincing she tried it out and had a ball. She didn't want to leave.

Although she never got all the way to the top, she was able to manuever herself all around the "web" and she did get pretty high.

It was so cold and windy that we decided to eat our picnic lunch in our car. It was pretty neat to eat in there and we all enjoyed our lunch.

After lunch and before heading home, Tiz wanted to sit on the little seat in back of our Taurus.

We sat there for a bit and then headed home.

We planned on still catching the movie, but Courtney and Paul were going to be returning earlier than expected, so we skipped the movie and just hung out at home.

It was a most fun weekend indeed.
