Home and it is all a memory

John and I returned home this evening after our wonderful week exploring St. Ignace and the surrounding area.
The girls drove with us today.
We had lunch at a park in Escanaba and had an early dinner at Culver's in Oshkosh before sending them off with their mama and papa.
Tiz and I were recalling some of our favorite parts of the trip and she and I both agree that it went way too quiickly.
We packed so much into a week.
After our trip to Mackinac Island on Wednesday, John and I took the girls across the Big Mac bridge to explore the beach on the Mackinaw City side.
The highlight of this trip was when they met two dogs, Lukie and Lexie who were with their owners from Florida.
The girls thought it was the best when they could throw sticks for the dogs to fetch.
Here are some photos

After lunch at McDonalds, we went to a very nice beach about five miles from our house.
It was too cool to really enjoy the water, but just being on the beach was so nice and relaxing.
Tiz met a friend and they did swim together.

On Thursday night, we ate at the Mackinac Grill where we enjoyed delicious whitefish and trout.
After dinner we went to hear some live music at the marina.
The girls put on quite a show dancing.
It was a fun night.
On Friday, we drove up to some waterfalls near Paradise.
I will add the name later when I look it up, I cannot remember how to spell it right now.
Here are some photos from the falls.

There was a brewery/restaurant at the State Park, so we had lunch there.
Very good food once again.
Up in the U.P. they really know how to cook and present.
We had a last campfire on Friday night and then got ready for our trip home on Saturday.
Hard to believe that our week was almost over.
Today, the girls and I said "good bye" to our beautiful lake house.
