On The Rock

This has been a great week. As you read in the last post, this is the week that I subbed in the Day Camp at St. John's. The best part of the week was when Courtney and Tiz came and helped me out in the Day Camp. Courtney and I put in three full days working together and it was fun. Courtney is a natural teacher and loves kids so it was nice to watch her interact with the kids of all ages. Tizita just had a ball with so many new friends to meet and play with at the center.
On Friday night we decided to treat ourselves to a few beers and some food at a new restaurant in town, called On the Rock. On a whim, I had asked Alissa to come out and meet us there. Nathan was out of town and she was more than happy to join us. Here are Tizita and I before we left for the restaurant.

We love to sit outside on the patio which is right on the Rock River, thus the name of the restaurant. It did start to sprinkle which forced mom to pull out her rainhat and protect her hair. Luckily, we had a big umbrella on our table and the rain was short lived.

Tiz made friends with a sweet little girl who was sitting at the table next to ours. They had both brought their babies along. Isn't it amazing how quickly children can make friends.

Tiz enjoyed a hot dog. On the way in, she said all she wanted was some pig. I suppose there was some pig in that dog.

She did enjoy a kitty cocktail at the bar with Grandpa after dinner. Looks like she may have also been enjoying a game.

Here are the sisters enjoying a touching moment. It was so good for them to be able to spend time together and enjoy some serious sister time.

Tizita had to model the rain bonnet, too.

Tizita and Alissa enjoyed some Aunt/Niece time, too.

After our dinner we continued our night here at our house with a few more beers and a lot of laughs.

Great way to end our work week.
