Celebrating Alissa and John's birthdays in Bloomington

Celebrating Alissa and John's birthdays in Bloomington

On Saturday, John, Courtney, Tiz, Soli, and I took a road trip to Bloomington to celebrate John and Alissa's birthday.
Paul was busy in Madison so he could not join us.
It was fun to be able to all drive together in one car.
We met Alissa at Steak and Shake for lunch and then John and I took the girls to the museum while Alissa and Courtney did some shopping.
I think the museum in Bloomington is one of the best children's museums I have been to.
The water play area has so many cool ways for the kids to explore water.
This is the pizza delivery truck which Soli loves to drive.  There are different buttons to push that make many sounds, like a siren, horn, engine starting, etc.
Both girls loved the pizza restaurant where they made and served us many pizzas.
The climbing structure is so awesome and unlike anything I have ever seen.  It goes up at least two stories and the kids are able to look outside through the big glass windows and they are also able to look down to the bottom floor.  Tiz even took Soli into the climbing area this year and while she did not make it to the top, she enjoyed it and did well.
Soli also enjoyed driving the big combine.
We finished our day with some painting.  In this area, the kids are able to paint on big panes of glass and then clean them off when they are finished.
After the museum, we headed over to the Motel.  We stayed at the Fairfield this year.
Nathan, Alissa, and Courtney met us there.
We then went out for dinner.  The pizza restaurant that Alissa had originally chosen was booked for a private party, so we ate at a bar/restaurant which was very good.
We celebrated the birthdays after dinner at the motel.
We all enjoyed a lively game of pin the beer bottle on Alissa and guess the picture which happened to be Abraham Lincoln.

We opened gifts, the goody box, and had sweet treats for dessert.
It was a great birthday celebration for both the birthday people.
Courtney, Lissa and Nathan went out after the party while John and I stayed with the girls.

Courtney stayed overnight at Alissa's house, so we woke up early and had a great breakfast at the motel, then we enjoyed some time in the pool and hot tub.

We had lunch at Wendy's with Alissa and Nathan before we left for home.
It was a great weekend, so good to spend time together with family.

Crazy/Clash Day

Today was Crazy/Clash Day.
I figured this would be a pretty easy day for a Preschooler since they often like to dress in clashy clothes.
I had a fun time picking out my outfit for today and I hope the kids had fun dressing up in silly ways, too
Here are some photos of the kids in their silly clothes.

Our Spirit Week is almost over.
It has been lots of fun for all of us.
Tomorrow is Maroon and Gold day.
The afternoon class will be able to take part in the pep rally which is always a good time.

Pajama Day

Well, this Spirit week just gets better and better each day.
Today we could all just roll out of bed and come to school in our PJ's.
I don't know about all of you, but there is nothing more comfortable than PJ's and slippers.
We also had the Children's Librarian, Michelle come and read to us.
That is always a special treat.
Here are a few photos from our fun day.

These were the slippers that I wore today.
 Our AM class.

 Enjoying our stories with Michelle.

We played some games where we had to pretend to be sleeping.
And here are the afternoon kids.

 Everyone was there today.
We have seven boys and
seven girls when we are all here.
The perfect ration for a class!

Now we are enjoying our story with Michelle.

I think we all had a very fun PJ day!
Tomorrow is clash day which is always lots of fun and laughs.
