Big man in a small pool and other pool tidbits

This morning Tizita, her mama and her papa returned to Oshkosh after spending the last four days with us. Actually Paul was in Madison at a conference, so it was just Tiz and Courtney with us. It was a great kick off to summer. On Saturday, Alissa and Nathan joined us and we all went to Mallory's graduation party. Be sure and read all about that on the previous post. On Sunday, we all went out and enjoyed the lovely weather, a near perfect summer day. Tizita took Alissa for a spin in her Escalade. After that, Tizita requested that her Cheddah sit in her little pool with her. He did this two years ago and she has not forgotten. He kindly abliged and the two of them enjoyed some cool down time in the little pool. We all feasted on grilled hamburgers and Kraemer's hot dogs for lunch.

Courtney and Alissa cooled off their feet in the pool and everyone had to wear a different hat.

Alissa and Cheddah left on Sunday afternoon. Courtney, Tiz, John and I took a walk to Schuett''s for some slushies which were the perfect way to end our afternoon.

On Monday a heat wave set in and the temps hit the high 90's so we headed over to Kev and Mal's pool. The water was already warm enough to jump right in and enjoy. Usually it takes half the summer to warm up.

Here is Tiz all ready to head over there.

We enjoyed ourselves by riding around in the inner tubes. On Monday night, Courtney and I shared two bottles of wine and a lot of good conversation. We moved a bit slowly on Tuesday and the heat at the Farmer's Market was oppressive to say the least. We went back over to the pool again.

What a perfect place to cool off on a really hot day!

On Sunday we had tried to construct our own slip and slide out of garbage bags and tablecloths. It worked, but not without some hitches, so we purchased a slip and slide from Aldi's for a mere $7.99. We had fun using it on Tuesday afternoon.

This last picture was taken by Tizita and I love the artsy look to it. She has quite an eye for photography and loves to use my camera.

We leave for St. George Island on Friday. The heat wave is supposed to leave us later today or tomorrow. My next post will be coming to you from St. George, provided I can get this computer to work down there.
